All tanks are designed and certified by a professional engineer. Tank design complies with the below Engineering design codes and standards.

Project duration, for dual Fire Tanks, is typically 26 to 34 working days from when deposit is received to the ‘water leak test’.  Variation in the above installation time is determined by the number of levels / tiers of the tanks.

Tanks are build ‘top down’ – top level and roof are assembled first.  Tank is then jacked and each successive lower tier assembled at ground level – no assembly at heights.

Tank capacities range from 40 Kl (mᶾ) to almost 2000 Kl (mᶾ) per tank. Tank diameters range from 4.66m to 20.19m and our 8 tier tanks are 9.6m high (excl roof structure).

Concrete slab / foundation with reinforced ring-beam as per engineer’s specification. The below surface tolerances applies:

• +/- 3mm over any 2m sector of circumference measured / surveyed at the tank wall final position.
• +/- 5mm over the entire circumference measured / surveyed at the tank wall final position.
• Slab diameter must be at least 1200mm larger than tank diameter.

Vertical and horizontal straps on tanks can be powder coated to customer requirement – colour availability and lead time dependent. Domed roof is clear span, self-supporting with no centre post. Flanged connections – inlet, outlet, overflow and drain are manufactured and positioned to customer specification.

Positions of internal / external ladders, access hatch, water level indicator and ventilators as per customer specification.  These items may also be deleted if not required.
